What Do People Think About You?

Do you ever take a minute to consider what people think about you? Sometimes it’s a good thing to question it, and sometimes it’s really none of their business anyway. Personally, I gave up worrying what people thought about me a few years ago when I realised that the only person who should care what I think, is me. But there is something that is worth exploring, and it’s asking yourself if you are telling the world who you are, through how you dress?

Instagram, TIKTOK, your best mate, the person you just swiped right on, your colleagues or partner - they’re all gathering information about you, not just through what you say, but through how you dress. Communication is very much non-verbal, and so it’s vital we’re telling the world ‘this is who I am’ in the most authentic way.

Social media can heavily influence what we wear; the subliminal messaging that we are taking in every single day, all forming our opinions of the world. There are trends that go viral and therefore dictate what’s ‘in’, and we can so easily look like clones of each other. But how boring! What’s worse is that a particular trend might not even work for you (and that’s OK) but then we punish ourselves that we don’t look like ‘her’ and then spiral thinking that we’re not enough.

So let me ask you this; when was the last time you put an outfit on and thought ‘this feels like me’?

I’m here for playing with trends that we see online or in Vogue, but when it becomes less fun is when we’re not showing up authentically as ourselves, and it dilutes the perception people have about us.

If communication is primarily non-verbal, then it’s really important that we wear clothes that say something about who you are and what you’re like. It’s when we wear clothes that work with our body shape and feel great in our own skin that we feel our best - because we’re dressing true to who we are.

So then here’s my next question, do you know who you are?

Don’t panic if you don’t. In fact, if you don’t know who you are, or if you’re not sure what works for you because you’re in a wardrobe-rut, this is exactly where I come in as your bestie.

In my Style Analysis sessions, I work with you to bring out your personality, to go through with you what makes you-you, through a methods that make you feel seen and known. I work with your body shape and help you to see how great your figure is, whatever size you are, and give you strategies and solutions for dressing in a way that says ‘this is me’.

You will leave your session with me feeling excited and equipped with how to dress, what styles suit you, what archetype is true to you and how to make your clothing speak on your behalf.

I am here. I am ready. Are you?
